Captions and text to come: the 25 pictures can be found

While driving on the Interstate, I saw two doves fly next to each other--cute. I wonder if its a sign. (o.~) Long entries in the making of course. Gosh! I'm such a [journal] procrastinator.

Friday: Orgo, we learned a hefty amount of material; my brain was mentally exhausted in MUSIC, while trying to listen to some pieces... Aferward, headed home, ate, internetted, then got a ride to Shoe-Nami and Lakeside Mall with Mary, Winnie, and Jojo. It was my first time at Shoe-nami and I found myself trying to make the most of my visit by looking for interesting things.

There are a few of these around the store; not really sure their purpose though...kinda scary too. eek!

There were a lot of objects (purses, organizers, notebooks, etc..) with letters so I decided to just take a random snapshot of "j". Hmm, maybe my camera resolution isn't getting worse afterall.

"Is a Crime to be THIS CUTE?" Bunch of disney characters miniaturized. =)

After some time there, we headed to Lakeside, where we made a stop to FOREVER 21. Gotta love their cute stuff and decent prices, hehe. While Mary/Winnie shopped, Jojo and I decided to try out the oils from across the store. =P We ate a good bit, lol, and ended up filling up like 8 cups worth, hehe, mmm...

Then, went back to Forever, and onward to the Food Court. While Mary/Winnie ate dinner, Jojo and I walked to GORDIVA to get two complimentary truffles (thanks, Mary!). The clerk was pretty friendly and gave suggestions.

Ohhhh, can you feel the *drools* already? Gordiva chocolate is beacoup expensive! One truffle was $1.90. Wow! That whole display is worth like $1000 or something. *sigh* Anyways, got some Smoothie King to last me for the night and all of us headed to Friday fellowship. =D

Got a LIVESTRONG Band, yay! Thanks Kenny! Sang, discussed about life's "stumbling blocks", and prayed for each other. Left early to attempt studying for the rest of the night. Ended up falling asleep later on. =)

The next morning, I woke up rather tired, reviewed as much MCAT as I possibly could, then had to take a trip with my dad to Sav-A-Center to buy some groceries/birthday gift.

Look, Shrek made a friend! =)

Bought a purty flower box for my Aunt Mimi. Headed home, double checked on when to meet at the house (bday surprise party wasn't a surprise anymore, darn...), then went to Party City to buy some balloons. =)

Scary walking balloons. Don't ya just want to poke it? Lol...with a fork? =P

It sure was busy at the store. We got a couple mylar and a couple latex balloons to attach to the flower box. =) Off to the yummy goodness! =D

There were already a good amount of people there. Food wasn't ready yet though. So this is where all the women hanged out, while the men were watching the LSU game, and most of the kids playing in the backyard.

Mmm..BBQ teriyaki and chicken, so good! Kudos to my Uncle Ming for preparing it.

Where the tasty magic happens. Oh! Swing! =)

Soon enough, my aunt came by with the sushi that was prepared that morning. They sure did make a lot...It was pretty good too might I add.

Finally, I got to eat sushi (been craving it for so long now)

Soybeans and salad included!

I ate like 5 servings worth of food being the pig that I am. I chose to sit at the kids table, lol...the two kids on the right are brothers and the kid closest called me "Crazy," haha...they say the darndest things...

The other table; my cousin Lydia aka Mulan is on the right.

This girl, Alyssa, was crazy, haha, j/k...she called me "chicken-everything" "Chicken head, chicken eyeglasses, chicken ears, etc.." Oy...

Finally, the cakes were revealed. Happy 40th! The cake on the left costed $50 vs. the one on the right, $18! I wasn't worthy of eating the expensive one (from Marissa's bakery). Sweet tooths.

The birthday mom; aww...^_^;

The family. *another awww...*

My cousin Donovan. Sooo cute! He was sick though, with red face from time to time and that same sleepy look throughout the day.

Squid salad, seaweed, spicy anchovies...wish I could take it all home...

Lol, this little girl tried to get hold of some ice, haha...

At the party, I met a guy named Harris Lam, who’s Cantonese but lived in Honduras for 17 of 18 years of his life. He has the grasp of the languages that I would like to be fluent in-Cantonese, Spanish, and English. =D Nice guy. His roommate, a graduate from Tulane, is like his psychologist, lol. Harris has a problem-a girl problem. Because he’s been asian deprived, he really really wants to be active in UNO’s VSA. He loves Vietnamese women, lol…=P

I got to see my Uncle Michael which was kool; he’s the only older relative that I feel most at ease talking to him about anything, lol. =P So around 4pm, my dad and I left and back home, I studied diligently to take my three Abnormal Psychology Quizzes due by 10pm. I managed to complete them all by 9pm. But I found them to be wacko. I was 98% that I got all of my questions right, but it turned out that every one of them, I was one point below the perfect score. Some people got them all right, but then I think they cheated…I dunno, maybe I really did get one wrong. But I found word for word in the text. =/

Anyways, around 9:30pm, I got picked up by Mary/Shau to attempt to see Shaun of the Dead but we were too late; so we attempted to watch The Forgotten at Clearview but was startled to see a huge line. So we went to Elmwood, where there were still a lot of people there but we managed to find a seat. Throughout the movie, I constantly questioned myself and the plot, waiting for development or answers, and overall, I think it was a decent movie. There were definitely moments in the movie that were startling. I was in my Abnormal Psychology mode.

Got dropped off, slept, and woke up for another day!

Sunday: I noticed that there were only 2 [youth] guys (Compi and myself) during singing. Where did all the boys go? =/ Rev. Liu gave the message and he went over the book of Jude. Since my stay, it’s the longest passage read thus far. Afterward, Janet/Joy talked about her trip (in Szechuan, China) as part of MSI (Medical Staff International) with powerpoint pictures. =) It really opens one’s eyes in seeing the spiritual/economic/physical poverty…sad. =( I commend those who take the time to visit these underdeveloped countries and help them.

Bible study, finished up the Book of James. =) Compi went off with his hidden woman hating passages (1 Timothy!), lol, so funny. =P Yummy lunch, then took a trip to EJAH (lol, sounds kinda ghetto, E-Jah). Visited the Yu household and saw the dad for the first time. =) Went to Barnes & Boba to study; enjoyed a Crème Vanilla Bean Frap for the first time (tastes like a milk shake). I didn’t realize how cold it is in there. Definitely need to bring a jacket next time.

Stopped at Frosty’s for yummy-liciousness.

Mmm…beef spring rolls/egg rolls and boba…good combination.

Stopped at the Fun Arcade afterward, lol, where I got a chance to play AREA 51, Site 4. Field training was fun. =) After 40 minutes of fun, it was time to head home. Took a nap, reviewed, and had a nice conversation with a friend from APA South. First time talking to each other. Shout out to Mai Thanh. Feel bad for Florida residents. =( Hope they recover soon. As of now, I heard that from Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne, there was 1,717 Deaths, with $12 billion dollars worth of damage/repair. =/

Random pic:

Smiley drawn on my hand. It has a glowing red around the blue. =P
