GRRRRRR!

Holy shit I was going nuts at training today. It was a ton of role playing and going over subjects that I am *not* going to teach. Why the fuck do I need to learn this? I expected it to last until 7:30. I did not expect it to go over by 30 minutes or to be scheduled last for the role playing (Meaning, the faster I went, the faster I could get the fuck out of there.). Everyone seemed to be impressed by my ability to bounce between students (Three years experience counts for something.) but I was way rushed and a little timid on the material. Slamming my knee into the table didn't help matters either; I completely blanked on all the techniques I prepped for. It wasn't pretty. I really feel way outside my comfort zone there and I get the feeling I'm not going to stick around long there.

I zipped out of there as fast as I could and did my best to head for the munch. Sylvia took her sweet time locating a GPS signal. Luckily I remembered something about 85 South and headed there. Sylvia finally found herself and I got to the munch a little after 8:30. It was a little small, but the crack was nice. A few of use popped on over to the theater and saw "Death Race." It was pretty spiffy. Jason Statham is *hot* and the women he teams up with are even hotter. There were several "Yes, Mistress" moments with Joan Allen. It was too fun to MST3K it and it would be great for a movie night. The after-movie discussion was nice too (When isn't it?)

So now I get to clean the downstairs and prep for the party. I'm planning on making a pitcher of mojitos and mixing Sour Watermelon Schnapps with Strawberry soda. Maybe some Smirnoff Ice will be there as well. Anything else better be brought by other people.

I also have to look at my car's right front brake. It's making a grinding noise when I apply the brakes and carries over a bit when I hit the gas. Someone's telling me to get a full-time job. 8) Maybe the job thread at the new community conflictdvirgin will pan out some results. I love my friends. 8)

Update: Took the right front tire off and checked the rotor. It doesn't look like it's damaged from the kind of noise I'm hearing. I want to think that this is the brake pad wearing out, but I always thought they would do that whiny squeak first. Plus, it sounds as if the the caliper isn't fully releasing the rotor (because it still makes that sound even after the brakes aren't depressed). If someone knowledgeable of such things wants to come over and take a gander, or look at some of the pictures I took, hit me up.
