Long day
I had training on Thursday from 1:00 to 7:30 at C2 Education. This place is way different than any tutoring place I've been to. Of course, that's not saying much since I've only seen Score! and The Tutoring Club. C2 focuses on way more subjects and SAT prep. I was actually challenged by some of the things in the math portion of the training. I was also blown away by the people I was training with. All of them were from big-name universities with mind-bogglingly complex degrees. I was the only one with actual tutoring and teaching experience in a classroom environment. I'm kinda dreading Saturday when I have to drop the bomb at Score! and have a chat about the conflict of interest contract I signed. And I'm way frustrated that I still can't find my passport or my SSC. I'll do a more detailed search on Saturday. And I'm a bit miffed that training on Friday will go until 7:00, so I'll be a little late to the munch the one week that I don't want to miss a thing. Oh well. I'm guessing the new LJ community will be a hot topic as well as my chickening out last week.
