There was a time in my life when the people I looked up to presented two opposing opinions regarding what to follow when making decisions. Some of them would say that I should follow my mind, while others believed that the heart was a better judge.
I only found the truth when I came across this verse in the bible: "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6,7). I learned that I should present to God, the need to make a decision and then let Him decide on the matter. Phew! Not that's more like it.
Recently, I experienced a flood of emotions that could have easily led me to make unwise decisions. However, I chose to experience God's peace by praying about it and just as expected, He led me to make the right decision.
Relying mainly on feelings and emotions is not a wise move when it comes to making decisions. It always takes One who is all-powerful, all-knowing and all-loving to shed light on the issues of life.
