FIGHTING GRAVITY

You bring me to places I've never been
Without leaving the space I'm in
You chose to see me in a different light
And help me through my darkest nights
The power of your love conquers my fear
All I need to know is you're near
I am a tree that reaches for the sky
You keep my roots grounded
Yet lift my branches high
I am an eagle that needs to go west
You provide me the clouds
Where I can stop and rest
I am a fish in the cool, blue waters
You make me explore
The wonders with no borders
A heart that never grows tired of loving
A gaze that's so full of caring
A smile that says, "You can do anything!"
A hand that delights in giving
A voice that is solid and comforting
A presence that leaves no wanting
You are the constant in my equation
Without you, life's a big question
You have given so much of yourself
That's something I could never shelve
So we'll soar the heights till eternity
Who says we can't fight gravity?
