“With all due respect, Regina, you have no idea what you’re talking about.”
That’s what he told her... that’s what David thought of her.
No matter how hard she tried to explain it, she just couldn’t... there was only one explanation: he was being honest.
Regina massaged her forehead as she felt her head would explode from the effort. David Nolan was in no way aware of his real identity as Prince James. He wasn’t baiting her. Besides, she couldn’t risk such a revelation. But did he really mean what he had told her? It warmed her heart thinking that there may be a few people that thought of her as not evil, be it the evil Queen or the evil Mayor of Storybrooke.
Regina almost giggled in the thought of how David resisted the notion of sometimes evil staring at you right in the face but being utterly unable to see it. And yes, she was standing right in front of him gazing into these bluer than blue eyes of his. Regina swallowed hard.
It was one thing toying with people and their feelings but this time... this time it felt different. So different indeed, as if it were a long forgotten dream. Pain threatened to overwhelm her and tried to focus on David instead.
She remembered how it felt finding him on the side of the road; how helpless he looked. The image of him lying there slowly turned into that of Prince James lying in a pool of blood on the floor of Emma’s nursery and his wife holding him in her arms. Regina turned her head disgusted... Snow White again. She could swear that sometimes her subconscious was hell bend on stabbing her on the back.
Regina stood up decisively... she had a plan... and she had to go shopping to set it in motion.

Summary: Kathryn tries to keep her feelings bottled up.
“No, David! What did I ever do to you to deserve to be humiliated like that? If you feel you don’t love, if you think you’re interested in someone else and you don’t want to give us a chance, you should come to me! ME!
Own your actions and your feelings and do whatever you think is right. What did you expect? I’d put a spell on you to keep you with me? I would use a fake pregnancy to keep you chained? Is that what you think? Do you really think so low of me that I would be capable of such a thing?”
Kathryn pushed herself to draw a deep breath.
“Instead of stating your actions, you go behind my back! What did you expect, I’d never find out? This is Storybrooke, David, it’s not that big a town. Besides, it’s not that you tried much, now is it?
And do you know what? Yes, I would be hurt; I would cry; I would probably be depressed for a little while but I would at least have my dignity. I would still be able to get out of my house without having to listen to the incessant whispering or be on the receiving end of all these looks of pity!”
Her eyes stung for a moment but Kathryn willed her tears back. She would not cry again.
“I would still be able to get on with my life without hating you because in the end, you manned up and came clean to me. Now? Now what is left here for me? What is real for me? The pity? The sorrow? The feeling of being free? I will tell you what, David... it’s the humiliation...”
Kathryn sighed heavily as she stared on the blank page in front of her. She was letting her feelings and anger run rampant and it wasn’t doing her any good. She wanted to tell him, to shower him in her pain so he can have a clear idea of how much pain he caused her that it wasn’t going any time soon.
She closed her eyes for a moment so she could reach deep down to the last bits of kindness and caring feelings she had for her husband; she then took a deep breath and wrote what she really believed to be true:
“Go, be with her...”
