The owners of the old place decided to retire from boarding (which was technically their hobby, since they work full-time elsewhere!) and close the old place down. I was tacking up Mitzi last night and the barn owner, whose dressage saddle I have been borrowing, was around. I've been feeling a bit guilty about borrowing it for as long as I have, and mentioned that. To my utter astonishment, I managed to ride three times between Friday and Sunday--it did rain during our lesson, but not very hard, and as noted last November I can cope with rain that is falling down a lot better than mist that is hanging there waiting for my glasses to pass through it ( Read more... )
