It's been a long time since i have posted here. It has been about a year and a half now since the old one.
Brooklyn is amazing, and it makes me just want to travel as much as I can. I've noticed in this city that one of my most favorite things to do is just observe people, which can sometimes get you in trouble here in Brooklyn, but if you can get away with it it is really special.
I've also been meeting a lot of amazing people. Types of people that i would not have met otherwise, i think. I cannot really express it here because it doesn't really matter, but i think that this kind of experience is crucial to anybody who wants to be well-rounded. Right now i'm reading this book about a kid becoming a hobo. It's pretty preachy and badly written, but i'm still smitten by it because what the kid is doing is in a romantic sense exactly what i want to do with a chunk of my life. My boss right now, after graduating from college, traveled for 10 years. He would travel, and then every year for three months work and save up money, and then hit the road again. Glamorous.
Right now the constant buzz of pavement, horns, and people everywhere is still hard to get used to. But i'm sure i will grow accustomed to it. I do miss the beaches of Santa Cruz, but i'll just have to replace it with....Gee i don't know, booze and fun people.
