Author’s name: Kristen, but variations on SinVraal is how the internet knows me. LJ: sinvraal, though my personal LJ isn't very interesting. What genre(s) do you enjoy writing? Sci-fi- ruminations on how people interact with different cultures and technologies. Speculative stuff. What genre(s) do you enjoy reading? I've been reading a lot of science-based non-fiction lately by authors like Robert Sapolski and Oliver Sacks. Stuff about humans being humans and how the body influences the mind, where "the mind" comes from, etc. I also like sci fi, fantasy and historical fiction. What authors influenced you the most? David Eddings, Neal Stephenson, Katharine Kerr, James Clavell, Mike Mignola, Stan Sakai, Dan Simmons. (I'm including some comic authors because because. Stan Sakai's storytelling chops make me weep with envy.) What are you currently working on? Fanfic. My original fiction idea is only in the larval phase. I do have some ideas, though. What are your strengths as an author? Characterization. Action scenes, apparently. What are

Author’s name: Erin. Most people seem to call me "Rose" on LJ for short. LJ: *points at profile* What genre(s) do you enjoy writing? Mostly fantasy these days; that's where the majority of my ideas seem to originate, though I do like historical fiction and even wrote a hilariously bad American Civil War novel for an undergraduate project when I was in school. What genre(s) do you enjoy reading? fantasy, historical mysteries, some non-fiction What authors influenced you the most? Jane Austen, J.K. Rowling, Brandon Sanderson, Laurie R. King, Pixar? What are you currently working on? A revision of a YA fantasy novel I wrote a few years back. I want to get it done because I have another idea percolating in the back of my head.... What are your strengths as an author? No idea, to be honest. What are your weaknesses as an author? I feel like my main characters are always sort of bland while the side-characters are more interesting. Interests: characters and how people interact with each other, getting to know oneself, how characters/

Author’s name: I don't share my real name over public forums, sorry. :) I've used 'Alix' as a handle on the internet for, crap, twenty something years now and more recently Tersa because for some reason Alix is starting to be taken in a lot of sites. ;) LJ: tersa. Er. What genre(s) do you enjoy writing? When it comes down to it, everything I write is romance of some sort. What genre(s) do you enjoy reading? Yes? My library runs towards thick, chewy, epic fantasy, but I'm omnivorous, I tend to read a little of everything. What authors influenced you the most? Guy Gavriel Kay (which I have to be careful about). grrm. Sue Blalock. What are you currently working on? Nothing! What are your strengths as an author? I've mostly written fanfic, but I've been told I'm pretty good at characterization and dialogue. What are your weaknesses as an author? Pretty much everything else. ;) I can't seem to hold a story together for more than novella length at the most. I get ideas but I can't seem to string them together into novel-length.
