The pic I just posted the other day of the new moon over a night-time street in Edinburgh has been selected by the BBC for their weekly 'your pictures of Scotland' section of their website (its the fourth one in). Edinburgh from the Air
Recently I did something I haven't done since I was about 8 or so, climbed to the top of the Scott Monument, the 200 foot tall, neo-Gothic rocket which honours Sir Walter Scott. The edifice was completed in 1846 and is covered in sculpture of characters from his many books and it is a fair old walk up increasingly narrow, spiral, stone stairs - by ( Read more... ) -
Flickr set
After playing with Fotolog for a couple of years as well as posting photos on the main Woolamaloo Gazette blog and here I finally got round to setting up a basic Flickr account. Only just started posting pics to it, but will try to theme them so they are easy to browse, such as a set on Edinburgh and one for the cats. I will still stick with ( Read more... ) -
Millennium Clock
The Millennium Clock in the Royal Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, going through its just-after-the-hour paces. Pity I had to seriously reduce the quality of the footage to suit YouTube as the new camera's original is much higher quality, but, hey, it's a free vid hosting so I guess you have to take what's offered.
