This is intriguing. I thought it was pretty silly until I thought some more about it.
Was Bush Wired? This made me laugh out loud:
Bush is my shepherd, I am in want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories,
He maketh me to lie down on park benches,
He restoreth my doubts about the Republican Party,
He guideth me onto the paths of unemployment for the party's sake.
I do fear the evildoers, for thou talkest about them constantly.
The tax cuts for the rich and thy deficit spending
They do discomfort me.
Thou anointeth me with never-ending debt,
And my savings and assets shall soon be gone.
Surely poverty and hard living shall follow me all the days of my life
And my jobless children shall dwell in my basement forever.
The boyfriend and I went apple-picking on Saturday. It was a nice, crisp day, and walked out into the far orchard where we scored lots of apples without having to deal with too many loud families or random loose children. We got Pink Ladies and Braeburns, a few Cameos, and climbed up into the trees to knock down some Granny Smiths. I love pumpkin patches, so we took a detour through that on the way back up to the farmhouse. Pumpkins patches are divine. What's not to love about long, lovely green tendrils that unfurl big yellow flowers that then nuture yummy plump pumpkins? I could sit in the middle of one all day. The boyfriend selected a big one that grew at a crazy angle with a jaunty, curling stem like a beret. We named him "Frenchie."
The boyfriend made homemade apple pie last night with our apples. I was astounded that it was so easy; the way I was raised, apple pie comes from the frozen foods section. I have never tasted a better apple pie. His culinary skills continue to amaze me.
Also, I am sick. I've blown my nose so much that I'm afraid my sore little nasal passages are gonna spring a nosebleed. They're even hurting my teeth. Geez.
