Lessons learned

Aug 25, 2009 22:00

Last night, we met some friend-of-friends at a dinner party (well, okay, friends of family of family-in-law) and it turns out they play in a bank locally, of the folk/roots/trad/irish/etc direction, and they'd brought the guitar and electric violin to entertain the toddlers.  They were very entertained!  I unfortunately, had nothing with me, so could only be a lame-o-butt non-musician.  Sigh.  Back in the day, I used to keep a pennywhistle in the car, but I got out of the habit when I really transferred all my attention to concertina.  Lesson learned - it would totally be worthwhile to stash a whistle in the glove box.
