Drowning in summer

The other night making dinner I knocked over the salt shaker.  I stood it back up but I didn't wipe up the spill.   Next morning there was an array of little droplets of saltwater, as each little crystal absorbed enough water to liquefy it.



Not what I expected to see.  Should've known, salt is all hygroscopic and whatever, but didn't think it would actually pull enough water out of the air to liquefy itself...

This humidity is worse than Alabama, I swear.  Or maybe I just never lived in Alabama without lots and lots of air conditioning.
