That's pretty exciting. Good luck with the inspection. If peeling wallpaper/paneling, painting and ripping up carpet are the most major projects you will have to take on, then you will be in great shape. Those are really great projects to do yourself and build up some confidence as a homeowner before the really ugly stuff attacks. I have every confidence those are things you guys can tackle.

I'll be sure to post pictures of the renovation project in the Fern Cliff House Memorial room - the paneling and carpet are totally gone, and we've got laminate ready to put down as soon as we've finished painting.

Actually, pulling up carpet and laying real or laminate flooring (even tile!) isn't that huge a deal. Get a couple good how-to books, take a class at HOme Depot or similar store, watch a decent video... and call Nesko if you run into problems. :)
