Ever tried a wildcard, and seen what else there is?
Below I'm listing the good shows I can recall from memory that I bother using my TV for when my data is low.
* "Good News Week" - a comedy parody of the week's events with a dash of game show. I'm calling Daily Show and GNW's similarities a coincidence, since two to three months wouldn't be long enough to tweak another's idea - they both began in 1996.
* "Rockwiz" - a quiz show for rockers, with a side dose of song breaks done by notable names!

* "The Chaser's War on Everything"...oh wait, the US bought that already.

* "Underbelly" (may or may not be on US TV) think The Sopranos, except this is based on REAL families, and the show was temporarily banned in Victoria while the REAL family had their court case!
