The Curse!

Well, how's this for odd.

I've seen this before, but this comes from the mind behind "Forest of the dead", "Silence in the library", "Blink", "The girl in the fireplace", "The Doctor dances", "The empty child" and other really well written out there new Who episodes.
(Including the not-so-seen "Timecrash" special with Peter Davison.)

This new discovery was made during Who's hiatus after the BBC canned it (wisely rested or foolish choice? Everyone's opinion differs) and the US screwed it up in movie form (just morons looking for cash, period), the far off space year of 1999!

What is it?

It's a parody made for the BBC's charity event, "Comic Relief", of Doctor Who, called:

"The Curse Of Fatal Death" - the title says it all really!

Quirky parody of Who, with enough old school elements for the old fans, and since many old enemies made it to the new show, enough is understandable to follow the story!

Features regenerations, The Master, the Daleks and insanity.

Rowan "Blackadder" Atkinson is The Doctor, with Jonathan "The Villain from Tomorrow Never Dies" Pryce as The Master.

(Oh, and features Julia "Saffie" Sawalha and Joanna "Pats" Lumley from Ab Fab for fans of that show too. And as a random aside, Hugh Grant is in it too - no joke!)

It's a fun parody, and I found it online here for anyone after it.

The oddest part is it's all by the same guy taking over in 2010, Steven Moffat!

But respect most high to this writer! He's behind Press Gang and Murder Most Horrid, two awesome shows I grew up with, and likely episodes of The Office, Coupling and more you're familiar with too!
(I've yet to see much of Coupling or The Office, either country.)

Good to see that a hard working, talented writer is getting to advance to such a lofty position.

My only concern is:

He's the one writing the Tintin movie's screenplay? Uh oh.
