I wasn't overly-impressed, either. I'm going to rewatch it in the hopes that I was insanely mistaken. The last two weeks were so good. WTF happened?!

It was okay, but wow did it at least *feel* like it fell flat, if only in how it was resolved.

It was like Davies knew he wasn't running it in 09, so he wrote it to tie up loose threads so that Moffat didn't mess with his plotlines.
(Which is daft - Moffat's stories are better than Davies'!)
