I did manage to wake up for the rare
Aurigid meteor shower that I
wrote about the other day. And, I even managed to see a number of streaks across the sky from my brightly lit street. They reported
live from the planes as part of the Aurigids project. They claimed a calculated ZHR at peak of 100. I hope to see the photos from the planes' cameras. There's also a nice write up on
how to observe meteors. I did not stay up to watch the planes land at Moffett.
Back to bed I go.
