I don't want to update, because I'll go into a rant about every goddamn thing on my mind. Instead, that stupid 20 things quiz. >)
1. I'm short - 5"1' - and I hate it, but I don't dwell on it too much because I can't change it.
2. As the username says, I love complicated things, but only if I can fix them. Complications make things more interesting.
3. I will forever love the oldschool Disney movies with traditional animation - Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King, The Little Mermaid, et cetera. I grew up on those movies and my kids will, too. I have a firm belief that those movies took so much time that they came out magnificent, and now that Disney is going all computer animated, their movies will go downhill - I mean, please... most already are.
4. I still listen to boy bands and I'm guilty of having Hilary Duff CD's, however rarely they're listened to.
5. I LOVE kippered herring. It's one of my most favorite foods ever.
6. I spent half of my childhood living another life. People who know me will know what I mean by that.
7. I've never left Alaska and I've only ever been farther from Anchorage than Eagle River once, for the state fair when I was little.
8. My relatives make me nervous and shy and all kinds of emo. I have no idea why to this day.
9. My middle name (given) is Melinda.
10. I have a secret love for the movie Balto.
11. When I was younger I was terrified of clowns. They still freak me out, a little, but I think mimes are the coolest thing in the world.
12. I used to want to be a cop, detective, et cetera. Now I have no idea what I want to be and I'm scared of growing up.
13. I've always hated the fact that my sister always has so many nice things and almost everything I have is secondhand, save for clothes, books, et cetera - although that's changing... kind of. I hate the idea that someone who refuses to keep a steady job can have so much nice shit. Part of it is obviously jealousy, though. I have a thing for nice looking things, shiny, unique things.
14. I want to quit school when I turn sixteen.
15. I simply LOVE the snow.
16. For about four years I slept on the couch in the living room because I was afraid of the dark and of sleeping alone. This was back when my dad would stay up late and my parents still slept in the same room together.
17. Voyager was my all-time favorite Star Trek series.
18. I try way too hard to be unique.
19. I love to read, and oddly enough I can't stand a book unless it has some form of pain or death in it, unless it's genuine satire.
