(no subject)
SO it's been a while since my last post, but from now on I will occasionally update. I want to evaluate my performance during student teaching...just so I can work out my thoughts and feelings about each lesson.
Anywayyyy, today was my first day actually teaching and while it was fun, it didn't go as I planned. But I guess thats the way teaching is. I really need to work on transitions between activities, but also it would be great if I could really work on how I give directions. They've stressed to us over and over the importance of giving examples, but I can just never seem to remember it. At least my cooperating teacher is giving me hints along the way. I really liked how she wrote down specific points that I need to work on, because otherwise I dont always notice the mistakes I make.
But overall, today wasn't too horrible, I think the class should be alot of fun...a little talkative, but definitely interesting. They should be a good challenge.
Ah well, hopefully tomorrow I can catch myself up, but I doubt it will happen because Erica wants to go over the prospectus and such, so that will take a while.
