Dear Caroline,

Hello! I’m back at Hogwar school and all settled in, so I thought I’d write. I wish we were still in Brighton, though. Then we could have that re-match now, instead of waiting until next August! I never though a girl would out-swim me! Well, Len, maybe, but Plus, if we were still on holiday, then I wouldn’t have any schoolwork to do!

So, how are you? Are you back into school now, too? Did you have much trouble getting things packed up? Did you ever find your green hair ribbon? I swear to you, I do not have it. I swear I gave it back after I stole it. Honest. Things were a little hectic for me getting back to school. Right when we got home from Brighton our house elf servant passed away. We were all pretty upset about that, Mum especially, as Blinky Betsy had taken care of her ever since she was little. Since Amelia’s gone to Greece I was trying to help Mum and Dad make arrangements for Bli Betsy and to find a new house e servant. I don’t think we’re going to get one. Mum didn’t think it would be the same. Anyway, since we were so busy with that, it didn’t leave me with much time to buy my school supplies in Diagon London. I think I forgot some of my textbooks. But, I made it back, more or less.

And Oliver is here at school now, too! I’m still really sorry about the way he nearly trampled you while you were sunbathing on the beach. Who knew a game of catch could get so out of hand?! Especially one not even involving a Snitch! It’s a little odd having him here. Nice, but odd. I’ve always wanted him here, but he didn’t end up in Gryffindor my house like I thought he would, so I don’t think I’m going to see he much. He looked like he’s already made a lot of friends in Ravenclaw his house though, so I think he’s doing alright.

Are the teachers at your grammar school going mental about preparing for OWLs O-levels already? All of my professors are going on and on and on about them -- and it’s only the first day of class! I think it’s going to be a long school year.

Speaking of which, I should probably get started on my assignments for tomorrow. Because if I don’t do them, it’s going to be an even longer year.

Write when you have a chance!

Your friend,

PS. Please let me know if this letter makes it to you. My friend Ted said one postage stamp would do, but I have my doubts. Hope to hear from you soon!
