Dear Charlie,

How goes the dragon keeping? Always hoping you don’t burn off your eyebrows or something, but you know I still think you’d look marvelously dashing without them (Mum might get upset, though).

Anyway! First things first - I’ve something to tell you, because I know you’d like to know it and Bill doesn’t like Quidditch the way you do, so:

I MADE IT! I’m on the Gryffindor team this year as Chaser!

Isn’t that brilliant? Tryouts were today, and they went really well! I was reserve Seeker last year (did I tell you about that?) so this, I think I like a bit more; Chaser’s got a lot more freedom in the moves on the pitch. Like the Reverse Pass? I heard Angelina and Katie talking about it last year, and it sounds rather difficult, since it’s so bloody hard to get the aim right, accuracy and all that. Though, it does sound quite brilliant if it’s done correctly.

I know you were a Seeker (Ron’s Keeper this year, by the way), but you were Captain too, so I was wondering - any suggestions? Things I could try out, maybe practice for the match? Advice for Ron, too, because I think he’s scared of the Quaffle flying at him?

Hope all is well over there!

All my love,

P.S. I don’t know if you heard, but Harry’s Captain this year. Brilliant, eh? Go ahead and attack him with your Captainy Letters of Wisdom as you see fit, then.
