Dear Mother,

Would it be possible for you to send Volumes 16, 17, 20 and 22 of Toujours Pur to me? Professor Binns told blatant lies! made some rather defamatory statements today in my History of Magic class, and I would like to hex him into oblivion if he weren't already dead! refute his claims. I know that is a heavy load for Noctua to carry; ( Read more... )

Fine, if you take into account the fact that the professor is a flat out liar!

A liar?
Hmph! That doesn't sound like Binns at all! I mean, the man's a historian -- he likes facts and dates and details! I doubt he'd distort the truth!

*gives him a sour look*

You are naive, aren't you? There's facts and then there are facts. The winners always write the history books.

How do you suppose the goblins wrote about their 'rebellions'?

What -- you don't think Binns could be objective in his history lessons? I mean, the man's dead -- he doesn't stand anything to gain...

Binns? Objective? Hardly!

All he cares about is boring people. He doesn't verify his facts; he just drones them out of the book. I'm surprised the books don' run away and hide!

*shrugs*
Well, maybe he verified things before he died...

*grins*
Can you imagine how upset poor old Binns would be if books ran away from him?

I doubt it. That would be too much like real work. And it might be *lowers her voice* exciting!

He couldn't be having with that!

*looks at Bella like he thinks she's crazy*
Sounds more like real work rather than excitement...

What did he say that got you so worked up anyway?

Professor Binns doesn't know the meaning of he word excitement. I'm sure he didn't when he was alive either.

*looks murderous*

He said that the Blacks and the Rookwoods were involved in some plot to assassinate a Muggle king!

Really? A plot to kill a king? Now that would be exciting -- creepy -- but exciting...

sholmes87 November 11 2005, 03:46:28 UTC
Yes, but if we had been involved; I'm sure the king would have actually died!

Bella... You're a little scary sometimes...

Only sometimes?

*looks concerned*

I must be slipping.

It's a goal of yours to be consistently scary?

*shakes his head*
That's scary in itself...
