So, Michael and I are gonna be getting a rabbit in the next few weeks.  Super excited.  Why a rabbit you ask?  Well, one, they're friggen adorable.  The main point, we really do still want to get a cat, but financial-wise, this is better for now because since rabbits are technically "caged animals" we don't have to pay a lovely $200 pet deposit fee followed by an extra $20 a month tacked onto rent.  BIG yaye.  And a girl I work with has a rabbit, and I've been over at her place a few times here recently, and fallen in love with hers. :3

Since we were both off today we took a trip over to the Humane Society on Old Frankfort Pike to take a look, ask about prices and what we'd need to do, and all that jazz.  We, of course, couldn't JUST go look at rabbits though.  First we took a walk through the dog area, boy were they all hyper and everything.  Barking, jumping up super high... so cute.
My big downfall was when we went into the cat area.  Oh god.  The first cat I looked at was a cute little gray one named Rosie.  She looked up at me and meowed, so I obviously had to pet her.  Michael kept going, and every time I went to go look at some of the others, Rosie would stick her paw out between the bars of her cage and wave it at me, wanting me to come back and keep petting her.  I did, of course, and almost cried it was so adorable and I wanted to bring her home today. ;_;
Once I was finally able to pull myself away from her we saw these two CUTE little kittens that were being all playful and falling all over each other while we pet them too.  Soooooo precious!!

Once he finally drug me out of there, we went to PetSmart to see what they had there, and to price cages and whatnot.  Also looked at getting a new cage for Rin, we really want to get her one that has a bunch of tubing she can run around in, instead of keeping her in that aquarium for much longer.  Then it was time to go home, since I got hardcore distracted by the kittens they had brought there for the weekend like they do.  There were these two light gray ones that I swear were related (they looked almost identical) that were soooo playful.  One kept attacking the others' tail. :3 In the other set of cats they brought there was one that was stretched out from the hammock to one of the levels.  We thought it was funny, that cat was bound and determined to be touching the other three that were in there with him, and boy did he succeed.

GAH I want a cat so bad... Still can't wait for the bunny though, it'll be fun! ^^
