Just got caught up with Torchwood Children of Earth. Day 5 airs tomorrow.
I'm so hurt and distraught right now. I want to rant, but I'll do it behind a livejournal cut to avoid spoiling it for people who haven't seen it. And seriously, if you haven't seen it, or don't know about what happens in Day 4, don't read this. MAJOR SPOILERS.
Oh my god. Russel T Davies, you are a terrible terrible man. I don't understand why, after putting us through both Owen and Tosh in the same fucking episode, they have to go and make it worse by taking away Ianto. WHHHHHHY???
I'm in such a state of shock I don't even know where to take this little rant, honestly. I keep thinking that maybe when Day 5 comes out he will have realized the mistake he made and do some crazy Whoniverse magic thing that makes him very not dead.
But no, of course he won't. I'm just in such a state of disbelief at this. I'm still sobbing about it.
Goddamnit if he's gonna do this to us, when Children of Earth is over, he better not try to boot it up for another special or season. What would be the point? It's not Torchwood with just two of the main cast. It's just not. So, as much as I hate to demand this because I do love Torchwood dearly, this better be the end of it. Not without Tosh, Owen, AND Ianto. No more. Let Gwen have her baby and have a happy little family, Jack can do whatever - spend time with his grandson while he's still young, go pop back into Doctor Who for a tick, whatever. Or even if CoE ends with something like them trying to put the organization back together, fine. Just no more. I couldn't take any more.
