This is the last panel of Dave we see before he enters the Medium. There is no Dave: Enter flash, or even a series of crazy gifs. There is nothing. He's just suddenly in the Medium, and you find out through a pesterlog. I find that ODD and SUSPICIOUS even. Every other kid gets a dramatic entrance.
