And my brain keeps revolving around and around...

Seriously, don't tag this unless you're in that fangirl part of Supernatural fandom, or you just won't get it.

Of cons I could not go to, of fans and fandom and what it means to love something intangible as fiction )

bah stupid

I don't know. I don't know. There's this wistful little thirteen year old girl in me who looks at what Misha did for Tracy and is like, 'This is one of the good guys.' Hearts and flowers abound. And if he's looking at Tracy's stuff for a good character feel - or any one on Tracy's fanfic lists? Then he's in the right spot. I know it. I've read it. Yet the cynical 31 year old in me is like, 'But HOW does he get it so well?'

Maybe he's just one of those laid back people who seriously never judges. If he's weirded out, or feels creepy, he just takes a step back and makes a joke about it. He really does seem to know that some sort of incident happened and made his apologies in a very special and unique way. I've never heard of an actor doing that for a fan. Never.

See my problem is with the fact that Kripke doesn't seem to know if he wants us to be 'SQUEE' or doesn't want us at all. I've always felt that Kripke has a problem committing to the idea of having female fans. He built this show to be a show for guys - and heck yeah, it is - but he put two hot brothers together in a sweet car and gave them awesome weapons. He picked Jared and Jensen, for chrissakes, and those two could sell me water in a rainforest.

So Kripke, probably grumbling over girlfans, keeps kissing us on the cheek and punching us in the nose. And frankly, it's okay. He can stop now. I'd like to get back to the Apocalypse - not the hopeless one, but the hopeful one where our three heroes overcome Destiny and in the words of Dean, 'make their own future'. Get back to the story, Kripke? Please?

Yes, I feel for all of Misha's jokiness, he is essentially an extremely intelligent and "nice" person. There is a superficial, "on" niceness that every actor has but having lived in the theatrical/competition world for so long, I find most performers narcisstic, competitive and not as "nice" as the world may view them. With that said, I do believe most have a "nice" persona they share with the world and do appreciate their fans. But essential niceness to their very core? That's a little rarer and Misha may be one of them.

How did I get off on that? Anyway, I do think Misha didn't plan to make Tracy feel awkward or bad but was just rolling and not thinking and before he knew it had gotten to a place he didn't intend. I love the way he was worried and the whole milkshake thing. Very sweet.

But yes, your comments re Kripke. I simply do not understand what he is doing right now. I had so much faith and confidence in him initially but lately . . . . well my faith is shaken. And I agree that he does seem a bit miffed that he doesn't have "guy" fans. There had to be some reason he stacked The Real Ghostbusters with mostly guy fans. But if that's true, he's very self-deluded. Guys don't do fandom much. They just don't.

So Kripke, probably grumbling over girlfans, keeps kissing us on the cheek and punching us in the nose

What a great description. Hee!

I too want my apocalypse.
