I went to the creating keepsakes convention yesterday and wound up taking 2 classes. they were billed as intermediate, fast-paced classes but i am not sure whether i would agree. i consider myself to be intermediate, and these classes were just very basic.
it could potentially be considered conceited for me to say this, but i do not feel as if i learned anything new in these classes or that i even learned much of anything. one class was a journaling class. i thought there would be more substance to that class. we altered a comp book to use as a journal, and the discussion was very basic. not really for someone like me... who enjoys this art for the stories i get to tell and not just for the imagry.
the other class was a mini book class. that was nice enough. the final book is beautiful. something i would have done on my own had i been given the chance, BUT its just not my style to be given a kit/class pack where everything is already measured and cut... all you need to do is glue things together as shown on the instruction sheet. just not my style. i've never really liked stuff like that. it feels too stifling.
that said... i am counting those 2 projects towards my 366. i am not picturing them because they are not my own designs and i dont want to violate any potential copywrite.
so instead... i leave you with my first July Commit2paper kit.

I took the photo in the morning the other day but it is constant rain lately in south florida, so the photo didnt come out that well... sorry the colors are off.
In case you didnt know it and you cant read the title.... the little c with a line over it is a form of shorthand for "with" and it is a symbol that i prefer to "w/"
I dont believe that this is a very good layout, but i have come to embrace the fact that they cant all be winning layouts!
Thanks for looking. as always... feedback welcome
