Boys Like girls IS emo.
But they're not depressing. There music is pretty upbeat.
[Well-- Except for 'Me, you and my medication' But hey. The Great Escape is pretty upbeat.]
And Hellogoodbye? Is that emo? Maybe.
But I don't think I've heard a depressing song in them. O_o. It's just emotional, but it's a love, happy emotional.
Really-- Most of the songs I've heard are all about love. XD
Pop / Powerpop / Indie Mhm.
And since when is Jimmy Eat World emo? o_O
Rock / Alternative Because they're not.
Evanescence isn't considered emo, but that stuff is REALLY depressing. Like whoa.
Love them too, but really. Can you tell me any of their songs that made you feel happy? Like happy?
Andand, Since when is New Found Glory emo? They're punk. Or just popish rock.
They call themselves, Pop Punk / Rock / Hardcore
October Fall isn't emo either.
Stupid people.
Bayside doesn't call themself emo either-- But listen to their earlier stuff. It may not be emo, but it is pretty downgrading to themselves, and whatnot.
Panic! at the Disco, doesn't call themselves emo either, but people label them that.
And with their lyrics, it's not really fully emo. But it's how Ryan Ross feels, and what he went through. So other kids could relate.
And my dad said, when he was younger a lot of teenagers tended to move toward black-- to the darker side of things.
Because it's cool.
And he agreed that with every generation parents have something to bitch about the music their kids listen to.
Because it's not what THEY grew up listening to.
