SO OUT OF CURIOSITY, because aflyingteapot's post reminded me of that time I read it my first year of undergrad, I was glancing over the wikipedia page for Murakami Ryu's Coin Locker Babies (it is crazy and awesome and crazy and will generally leave you with a feeling of "WTF" if you read it, but it is also awesome and my knowledge of it made me feel awesome and LOL when it was referenced in Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service (because YAY I GET CULTURAL REFERENCES YAY). BUT ANYWAY, in looking over the wikipedia page I found THE FOLLOWING:
