Just a brief post to thank all of you who left comments on my 'disaster' post a week ago. Happy to say that pretty much everything is back to normal, dried out, with very little loss of items beyond saving because of water damage. Just a short post and probably my last for a while. This morning the hose that leads from my toilet cistern to the mains, burst. Water pouring everywhere, bathroom flooded, water through the ceiling into the dining room, ceiling blistered, carpet and everything else soaked. I managed to turn the water off at the mains but it was already too late. ( Read more... )
