I really like this new duvet set - yes I finally managed to get the new cover on the duvet - um, with a little help from my neighbour Amelia! It's a quite heavyweight material which helps to keep the duvet in place whilst sleeping. And very comfortable. Wonderful weather today - perfect for garden maintenance. I tackled the Jasmine that, as in most years, had spread completely out of control. I hacked and pruned for an hour and filled one garden waste container. I shall continue on this tomorrow and hopefully finish with this shrub cut down to ground level ( Read more... )

I have purchased another two cans of astro-turf cleaner and sprayed the affected area. It has achieved - nothing. Apart from now smelling like fresh cut grass. I will have to get the bass broom out for one more try at a good scrub with hot, soapy water. If that doesn't work I will have astro-turf that more resembles a meadow than a lawn ( Read more... )

I have ordered more astro-turf cleaner, which will be delivered today. Just to put the kibosh on my plans it has been raining constantly and the astro is now soaking wet. The forecast for the next few days is more rain.
