"Too f*****g busy and vice versa" said DOROTHY PARKER. Well, not the latter in my case. Long days and short weekends are the norm at present. I managed a brief visit yesterday to
davesmusictank to drop off some items for his stall at Snoopers. Enjoyed a cup of coffee whilst listening to some strange music (sorry mate!) and then drove home to watch the Hungarian Grand Prix. Finally, a win for a British driver, Jenson Button. The cynics no doubt will point out that Alonso and M Schumacher both had to retire but a win is a win and Button was pushing Alonso hard when the latter went out with a broken drive-shaft.
So, I am particularly looking forward to this weekend when Ros and I are taking a couple of days vacation to attend the wedding of our niece, Vanessa. The ceremony is on Sunday 13th and we are setting off on Friday to spend a couple of nights in a splendid English country pub - The George in the village of Mere in Wiltshire. Delightful place, good food and real ale. Relaxation and real ale from Hall & Woodhouse makes for a great combination.
The wedding takes place in a hotel near Weston-Super-Mare where we will stay on Sunday night and then motor home on Monday.
A welcome break. Mind you I'm under threat of personal injury if I take the BlackBerry... Haha!
