I'm back from TCAF, and it was awesome! I got to hang out with
Arthur Dela Cruz and
Kean Soo, and chatted a bit with
Adrian Alphona =O and
Svetlana. Our table was next to
Raina,
Dave,
Marion and
John, who were pretty awesome con neighbors.
We stopped by Niagara Falls on the way back, which was really cool. We went on the Cave of the Winds tour, where we got sandals and yellow ponchos, and we saw the bottom of the falls. And I have picture of me in said poncho, looking like a retard awesome. It would have been cool to go on the Maid of the Mist boat ride, but we didn't have time. Maybe next time. It was kind of cold and rainy, too. What the heck is up with the weather, anyway? I leave New York when it's hot and gross, and I come back and it's freezing. Stupid weather.
Here I am, summoning the elements!
We flew in and out of Rochester and drove up to Toronto, so we got to hang out with
Ross for a bit on the way back. We got a sneak peak of his Wet Moon 3 pages, and they're totally sweet. I can't wait for the book to be finished. And airport security rumaged through my dirty underwear inspected my bag. I bet it's because of that time I was bitching about them making me throw away my hand lotion. Jerks. Watch me wind up on the no-flight list next. The worst part about it is that the zipper on my suitcase is coming apart (something about cramming boxes of comics in there...), so I have to zip it at the bottom. When I got home, I noticed that it was zipped up at the top, and the zipper was opening up in the middle. I thought I accidentally closed it wrong, but then when I opened it, there was a note saying they inspected my bag "to protect me and my fellow passengers." I guess they decided my bottle of Purell wasn't going to destroy the plane. Also, if they are "forced" to break the lock on your suitcase, it's not their fault. Actually, it kinda is.
I also did some sketches for a new story concept I'm working on. I even was happy with a few of them. =O
