as observed during unstructured anonymous interviews with two of my coworkers who have lived all their lives in the south bronx, ny. i had a very difficult time getting numbers and answers from them because each questions would elicit laughter at how frequent and extreme the answer was. they could not express enough the intense danger, violence, and injustice they deal with on a very daily basis.
