i voted today, hooray!
I went right before the movies. It's WEIRD. There's all these little knobby things and I was so worried that I was going to push the wrong one, but the candidate I wanted was first, so I guess it made it easy for me. Tomorrow is back to work. BOOOO. My dad and I saw "Changeling" tonight. Serious Oscar bait right there. I had to roll it around in my head to see if I liked it, but I wound up really liking it. The Academy voters(who I imagine to look like the Hecklers from the Muppets) will eat it up with a spoon like it's Ben & Jerry's and they've been on a diet for six months. Angelina Jolie is a goddess. Plus, the whole 1920s style of dress and hair is beautiful. *sigh*
I have to get the dates together to take off for Christmas & Thanksgiving. My dad was very awesome and gave them to me. Last year I sent out a mass email and my sisters were all "Well what dates do YOU want to take off?" Unless you tell me to, I will only take off one day, because I need to stay sane, plus Christmas Day, where we are not open anyway. Having to deal with customers and then my sisters and brother+extended family of aunts and grandparents and stuff is not fun.
Thanksgiving is not flexible this year but Christmas is. My dad wants me to take off three days for Christmas and I only want to take off two, so I might take off two. I get so stressed out over the holidays, but I'm getting the hell out of there for Thanksgiving, so I have to work Christmas. Not actual Christmas, but the day after.
My sister sent me a picture of her wearing a pin that says "Hispanics for Obama". And we have no Spanish blood in us at all, lol. But her boyfriend is Columbian and he speaks Spanish, so I guess that's the joke. I asked my dad to bring me back a nice Italian boy from Italy, but he didn't. Maybe he couldn't fit him in his suitcase. Or maybe he's having him shipped to me for Christmas. Hee-hee.
