Mix together:
2 cups vanilla wafers, crushed
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/4 cup sifted cocoa
dash of salt
Then add:
1 cup dark corn syrup
3 tablespoons rum
Pour over crumb mixture, blending well. If necessary add 1 or 2 more tablespoons rum. Proll into balls, use 2 tsp for each ball. Roll balls in a mixture of sifted cocoa and sifted powdered sugar. Store in a covered container for 4 to 5 days in refrigerator.
