Mom and Dad's Bourbon Balls

1 pkg Brownie mix
1/2 cup bourbon (grand marnier) OR 1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
2 cups chocolate chips
1/4 stick paraffin wax

Make brownies as usual, let cool. Put brownies in bowl and smash with potato masher. Mix in liquor and nuts, roll into small balls.

Melt chocolate chips and wax in a double-boiler, use spoon to dip balls into chocolate, place balls onto wax paper lined cookie sheets. Place in freezer or refrigerator to cool.

Put cooled balls into tiny paper cups to serve.

Makes about 70 balls.

Great in multiple batches for x-mas presents.
