The first movie I remember seeing at the cinema was Disney's The Little Mermaid in 1990. I was 6. This was such a landmark occasion for me that I even remember that we drove all the way up to Fremantle Queensgate cinemas to see it - a good half an hour away from where we lived - because that was the nearest cinema to where we lived at the time. In the 26 years I've been on this planet, I haven't lived in very many homes. We never moved house from when I was two until, well, until I left home to live with my husband when I was 22.
