Dany was too open, Ilya could crawl into his body and slither around until he was behind Dany’s lips. Dany was scared silent, afraid every time he opened his mouth Ilya would be there, not smiling but bearing his teeth.
Ilya smiled like the world was setting up a punchline for him.
Dany broke first, didn’t book a return ticket, didn’t look over his shoulder.
