It's been about two weeks since my imprisonment. In my solitary time, I've compared my actions to those of my personal enemy, Mr. Yuri Lowell, and placed them in a list. The results are rather surprising, and I shall now share them with the general public.
-I began as a noble and a proud member of the Imperial Knights, and am now a prisoner. He began as a vagrant member of the Lower Quarter and is still just that, but has a flying whale.
-I worked for several years to bring my complex plan to fruition. He worked for a couple of months and managed to completely undo said plan.
-I may have shortened Princess Estellise's life by an undetermined amount of time. He constantly places the princess' life in danger of being shortened to 18 years.
-I have been imprisoned only once and have given up on a future worth living. He has been imprisoned many, many times yet continues to pursue his ideals with an admirable vigour.
-I have spearheaded blastia research in my youth, coming up with such innovations as using one as a portable life support system. One of his allies tends to spearhead blastia themselves.
-I maintained public order in Zaphias for many years, often taking public actions that should have only been authorized by the Emperor, due to us lacking one at the time. This included maintaining the barrier blastia, natural disaster repair, smooth and efficient tax collection, armour and helmet repair (several suspicious dents were appearing on the helmets of knights who claimed to be assaulted by an unseen force in the later part of my career; this began to cost a considerable amount of money to repair, money which could have gone to feeding families in the Lower Quarter), monster extermination, training and maintaining of knights and border guards, one charity event (the auctioning of Sir Cumore's old wardrobe), knighting and promotion ceremonies (I would like Sir Scifo to recall how lavish his promotion to Captain was, and how many alcoholic beverages were consumed by certain lady knights at said ceremony), maintainence of the Heracles (which if the good Lady Estellise would recall, saved her life from an Entelexia), permitting the release of certain criminals who had performed charitable actions, filing and managing my own divorce papers, cooperation and treaties with guilds such as Fortune's Market, and several other actions to aid the empire's standard of living. He fixed a fountain.
What I have concluded is that while he is an engine of ruin, his sheer persistence is enough to keep him going against most odds, and he tends to achieve the odd positive result. I'm beginning to see a light in my future... Perhaps there is something to be learned from youth.
