Three good things happened to me today.
One.
Amy offered me a job as an assistant personnel manager for the winter. More pay than I am making now. She's going to see about getting me my own apartment in the 14-plex.
Two.
An attractive female expressed interest in me. I'm not interested, but it was a nice mood booster.
Three.
My fancy new 144hz monitor arrived today. After much tweaking the colors are lovely and it seems just dandy. In retrospect I think I should have tried to get the higher resolution instead of the higher hz. Either one would have pushed my system's limits. 144 frames per second is only realistic on older games or games with lower settings, and it isn't super noticeable. Its main value would be competitive online shooters that require fast response times. Games like Shogun 2: Total War and Rome 2: Total War run fine at 30 to 60 fps because there isn't such a high demand for twitch movements.
