Those wacky creationists
Those wacky creationists are managing to get the Smithsonian to present an anti-evolution documentary. Originally this was in exchange for a $16,000 donation and included co-sponsorship of the documentary, as reported here, but the resulting furor resulted in their withdrawal of co-sponsorship and returning of the money, as reported here. In a sense, this is worse, as the Discovery Institute can still tell everyone that their documentary was shown at the prestigious Smithsonian institute, yet won't have to pay a cent for this privilege. Furthermore, the Smithsonian's refusal to admit to making a mistake, let alone apologize for it, is appalling.
