Santa Fe is awesome. Like, awesomely awesome. In an awesome way. It's also pretty freaky.
For one...every single freaking building is adobe. EVERY ONE. Don't believe me? Look it up. Of course, it doesn't bother me, my house is adobe.
Anyway, even though it rained part of the time, I'd definitely describe it as sunny, colorful, and happy. That's just the vibe you get from it. It's very artsy and upscale (and liberal, YAY!), but it has a small town atmosphere.
We went to the oldest church in the USA (which just kind of made me smirk and think, "Someday I'll make sure all churches are antiquated pieces of discolored clay,") and the oldest house in the USA (old adobe house built around 1200 AD).
The whole place is cool. Definitely a must see if you can.
