I found the picture of this tree on a stock image site and really loved it. This was my default icon for a while, and I still use it for non-fandom purposes. The "stand" part originally came from the song by Rascal Flatts, but now it's more a symbolic sort of meaning. It's how I live my life. The transparent design in the back is Ancient text from the show Stargate Atlantis. Which brings me to....
The chill pill icon. I have a friend who coined this term in real life...whenever someone started getting agitated, she would go "Take a chill pill!" I played off that in this icon. It basically means what it says - chill out, relax.

LMAO. This one is just kind of random. I use it when I'm annoyed, amused, or being sarcastic. And various other times. It's one of my first icons, and one of my most popular - I get tons of comments about it.
This is my "misanthropy" icon. It references the cannibal (Hannibal, get it?) in the movie Silence of the Lambs. I use this when I'm really annoyed, or just for the lulz.
I made this icon for
meridith_smitha while back. I use it myself in discussions that feature my atheism. Pretty much everyone on my flist knows how much I like to rant about fundies. I'm an anti-theist, what can I say? I didn't come up with the quote itself, but the irony was enough to warrant it be put on an icon.
So, yeah, most of my icons are for the lulz. XD
_53 also asks, "Who is this John guy?" It's an unhealthy obsession I have with a guy in a fictional show (see: Stargate Atlantis). It's a long, long story which features much peril. And turkey sandwiches. But mostly peril. In other words, they're my fandom icons, which is the primary thing I get into on LJ other than the whole atheism thing.
