I resolved to buy a new computer for the upcoming Final Fantasy 14. I know... I'm a tool. All my close friends are playing it and as much as 11 put a bad taste in my mouth, I'm going to endure this iteration of FF if for nothing more than more interaction time with friends. I've been playing World of Warcraft almost every night, trying to get to 80 to play with my co-workers. It doesn't look like that's going to happen in time for my full dedication to FF14.
Back to the computer. I bought everything in need for my new monster machine. I installed everything and hit the power..... nothing. I went over the wiring and everything. I couldn't find out what was wrong. Turns out, I found out that my 400w power supply doesn't cut it at all. My graphics card requires a minimum of 500w. FIVE-HUNDRED. I have to get a 700w power supply just to run this beast of a machine. Between the dentist (no insurance), the car repair, and the computer, I'm completely tapped out. I have to get a new power supply now.... that means the only thing I haven't changed is the fucking CASE! I might as well have bought a case and just had a spare computer! Thinking about it now, I think I might just do that. Man... I really don't want to take the time to break down my new computer to put in the old one, then put the new one back together again.
By god, Belldandy v2.0 will be up and running by the weekend.
That's right. I named my Computer Belldandy. Eat a dick.
