Allo dear readers!
Previously: Yolanda died scarring Malachai for life. A new fence was put up to safe guard against the zombies. Jaysi tricked Mimi into marrying him so he wouldn't be lonely forever, and lastly the teens grew into adults.

For starters this is Latanya. Malachai and her went to prom together so I figured this would be his best bet to getting a spouse right away... As you can see she is preggers and taken by someone else.
Malachai: Awwww. It's broken...... Well I'm not fixing it.
Mimi: I'm just saying it would be fair if you did all the cooking while I.. uh, clean.. yea.
Jaysi: Why is the dishwasher broken again?!!!
Malachai got a job in the police career track since some people need to bring in the money. We're still poor. Mostly because I keep adding additions to the house and such.
Sheesh! Is everyone in this town taken and pregnant?
Malachai tries to chat up the store worker by leading with his mom's death. It doesn't go over too well, but they can still be friends.

Mind you it's been days, weeks, sim years, looking for a mate for Malachai. His life is ticking away, our bread winner is already an elder and doesn't have long to live, Mimi doesn't do much of anything (tbh, I can't remember if she even has a job XD ), and then......

Luckily Malachai was home so he could put out the flames but he hesitated. He didn't want to help his dad and then get engulfed in flames himself. In the end he got out the fire extinguisher and tried his best. He put out the flames that was killing Jaysi only to have embers from other flames leap unto his clothes and set him on fire again. Not knowing what to target Malachai realized his hesitation was a matter of life and death.
Dear readers, death was the only outcome :(
However, questions are left to be asked. Who was cooking hotdogs in the middle of the night? Was anything cooking at all? Jaysi was in the living room and Malachai was in the bedroom, so then who started the fire? Perhaps someone from the grave finally accomplishing a long forgotten goal? A current spouse who felt jaded by a marriage forced upon her?
What the crap is going on? D:
My founder.... is.... dead..... *sniffle* (and he was one step away from getting his LTW)
Leaving no time for the family to grieve we must continue the search for a spouse. Time is wasting and clearly we're running out of it. So many deaths in two updates.
The last girl was actually compatible with him so we gave it a shot. They argued about some things, but for the most part she could a winner!
Unfortunately she wasn't a winner and they just argued waaaaaay to much. She wouldn't even kiss him >.>
After some random blond we find Cora. She is nice, funny, and blah blah blah. Their signs are compatible and for Malachai it was love at first sight.
Jaysi also approves. (We miss you ._. )
They get married in front of their friends and family. Funny enough a lot of the women Malachai hit on showed up to the wedding, and it was a good time. She didn't even stand him up :D
Malachai kinda (and by kinda I mean he totally did) quit his job to make wife hunting a full time thing. Now he has to hunt for rocks to make some money.
And then MIMI dies!!! What the world?! This was the day after the wedding. So now we are just down to Malachai and Cora.
Malachai mourns the death of his step-mother as he collects some new plants for us. Hoping for a money tree.
Malachai goes searching for fairies but no luck :(

Later that day Cora goes into labor.
And so my dear readers we end this update with the birth of Dory Acker (naming theme is Finding Nemo). She already has the makings of a super star athlete, but bath times are a nightmare.
