For the DVD cases, maybe Freecycle? http://www.freecycle.org I don't know if they have group in your neck of the woods or not.

They do, but my schedule is so wacky that it's tough to do something like that. I'll probably put the word out on FB, and if nobody's interested, take them to the city recycling center. They're a recyclable kind of plastic.

Hmm. Maybe the library or local school could use them to replace damaged cases?

I would skip the FB thing and go straight to the recycling center. Sounds to me like you have a lot scheduled and to me I would jump to the end game.
