Operation Excavate Apartment

I'm on furlough from work this week, which is bad because I'm not getting paid and good because I need the time off. I took this week because it's the week of Va. Festival of the Book, which is just over the mountain from me. It started yesterday, but I'm skipping today and Sunday to take care of my *other* project this week, namely a massive spring cleaning of my apartment.

So far:

- 330 books to the library book sale, with 5 bookcases to go. The 3 bookcases I went to still are each half-full. Yes, I have a lot of books.
- 1 bag of yarn to Kyrie, 3 bags of yarn to the charity knitting/crocheting group at the community center
- 1 box of books to a local book store in exchange for store credit
- 3 trips to the city recycling center to get rid of paper/magazines
- 3 bags of clothes for Goodwill
- More laundry than I care to contemplate

Next up is taking an old mattress and bunky board to the landfill. Later today, I'm taking a bunch of yoga props from my old studio to a local yoga co-op. And I'm trying to get through four more bookcases today and do another book sale donation run.

Now if I could just figure out what to do with three dozen DVD cases... (The DVDs are in a binder - this is just the cases.)

My goal is to finish this week with a clean house and about half as much stuff as I had when I started. I'm slowly getting there...
