I have learned, without question, that people are dumb.

So, I've been frequenting the customer service section of the WoW forums lately (about a month now). I originally started reading there because I enjoy reading all the QQ posts, but then I got hooked, and I have actually learned a LOT about the rules of the game. I have also learned that people are completely stupid. Here, just a rundown, in case anyone is wondering.

1. No, you can't be banned for using the AH. No, it doesn't matter that you listed that one piece of linen cloth or pound of flesh for 9000g. No, it doesn't matter that you've listed five thousand infinite dust INDIVIDUALLY (although if you do this, I hope you fall off a cliff). The auction house is a FREE MARKET. That means you can list anything you want, for any amount you want. You will not be banned for buying low and selling high. This is not "exploitation of the economy".

2. No, you can't share your account with your brother/best friend/favorite hooker/neighbor's dog. Seriously. The only person you can share your account with is ONE child under the age of 18. Anything else is opening yourself up to being banned. Especially if you are stupid enough to admit it publicly.

3. If you choose to name your character "Bigbeefyballs", do not come onto the forums and whine when Blizzard makes you change your name. Do not armory the name and complain that there are 24 other people with this name and THEY don't have to change their name. Do not claim that your name refers to Italian food in any way, shape or form. We know it isn't true, you know it isn't true, and Blizzard knows it isn't true. Oh and by the way, that name is not nearly as clever or funny as you think it is.

4. No, multiboxing is not cheating. It's allowed. We're very sorry that you just got zapped in the face by five shamans at once. Suck it up or stop PvPing.

5. No, Blizzard cannot take that uber mace of awesomeness that someone else won and transfer it to your account just because you really wanted it. If that person wants you to have it, they can have it transferred to you, but if they don't, you are SOL.

6. That email you received asking you to verify your account with name, address, username, password, secret question/answer, and CD key? Yeah, it's fake. "But it said if I didn't reply to it I would be banned!" News flash: Blizzard won't alert you beforehand if they're going to ban you. They'll just... ban you. IT'S FAKE.

My personal pet peeve: people who make threads on the customer service forum and then say "please don't respond to this if you aren't a blue." Or, upon getting the right answer from a regular player, say "I don't believe you because you aren't a blue." First of all, if you want a private dialogue with a GM, open a damn ticket in-game. Don't post on a public forum, and if you do, DON'T THINK you can tell people they don't have the right to do the same. Secondly, just because I don't have blue text doesn't make the answer I am giving you any less correct.

I think that's the major ones. CSF is very, very heavily moderated by actual game masters, so I can't SAY any of the stuff I really want to say. Which is usually something along the lines of: you are a total idiot. You don't deserve to have this account, and I kinda wish you'd get eaten by a rhinoceros.

The longer I play this game, the more I hate people.
